"Fallen" (2022)

A Short Film by Connie Wing & Andi Dong

The 3 scenes that I worked on:

I collaborated with my classmate Andi Dong to create a two-minute short film for our Train Project during my sophomore year at SVA. Instead of crafting a traditional narrative centred around a physical train, we took a more unconventional and conceptual approach to the theme assigned by our professor, Brendan Gallagher.

Our film explored the idea of a train as a psychological journey, with each carriage representing one of the seven deadly sins. Shot from a first-person perspective, the camera frantically moved through each room—each a nightmarish manifestation of a specific sin—only to return to where it began, trapped in a cycle.

The film concluded with a wide shot revealing a four-cabin train (Pride, Lust, Envy, and Sloth) chained together and endlessly circling in place, symbolizing the inescapable nature of these vices.
